I take it back; despite what I said last week, sometimes I still do NOT love it here. One of those times was last Sunday, when the letter below ran in the Weekend Edition of the Press (click to enlarge).
Maybe not a New Zealand problem, but definitely a Christchurch problem. The Press is a sorry excuse for a newspaper, and I hate it! With the burning flame of a thousand suns, and an old office mate of mine used to say.
The more I read that article, the angrier I get. I begin to understand. An old girlfriend of mine used to say “with the burning intensity of a thousand suns”. I like it, it’s poetic. It’s no more embarrassing than the New York Post, you know.
